Wanted this for 4th of July but No-Go!

"I ordered this with the intent to order over the 4th of July holiday weekend and for an upcoming vacation trip. I even had a handbag and shoes ready to go to match! I can wear a Small and Medium but based on reviews and the comments about a lot of fabric, I went with a small. The dress fit nice in the hips and length was good, HOWEVER the top part of the dress (around the straps and arm pits) was very unflattering. Going back I look at the photo online, the model has her hair down covering the unflattering part of the dress. Unfortunately returning."
