"I can be between a small and medium in bottoms and I ordered a small and they fit great. I am 5’5 and 135 lb for reference. These are very soft, very cute and comfortable too. I just wore them for a long day at Disney and they were great. My only complaint is that they aren’t the most flattering. I feel like they make you look bigger than you are and after looking back at all the pictures we took, I would say that is true. Overall I like the shorts, they just make you look a little bigger than you are."

Varley is outstanding

"These shorts are pricey, but the quality is fantastic. I gave gotten a lot of wear out of them- I find them really versatile. I wore them all day outside for a hot tournament weekend and did not find them sweaty, even though the fabric is substantial. I’m in my mid 40s and like that these give length and ease while looking dressier than a pair of workout shorts. Extremely comfortable. I also bought the corresponding Shea top, and this makes a terrific outfit. Casual but put together, breezy and comfy. For sizing, I go with a Small in Varley bottoms, XS on top. I think these shorts are closer to true to size, not as oversized like a lot of Varley pieces. Highly recommend!"

"These shorts are buttery soft. The leg opening is wide and flattering. Perfect set when paired with the Varley half-zip top. I always receive compliments- because the look is polished, and fabric lays smoothly- all the while, these are just casual shorts that feel like pajamas! True to size fit- I’m 5’3” and 145, 53 yo, and they are still darling!"
