The color is rich and flattering, and the shape is boxy and casual in that work-jacket style but the fabric and color step it up if I take it to dinner. It's been even more versatile than I first expected when I bought it with the "Alysha Wide Leg Trouser" in the Cinderstripe light brown. It is lined and has a good weight—not too hot for California fall/winter. The smell people talk about is just the leather smell. I had the sleeves hemmed because I prefer them to hit at the wrist. I will were it as a light jacket on warmer fall days or as a top later in colder months. I bought my usual size XS and fits great except the sleeves are a tad long. I would say it runs slightly generous. Which will be nice when layering over tops or sweaters. Color is a perfect neutral and will go with everything!
