traveling 0:14 for um fun and before that i was 0:16 actually in scottsdale arizona traveling 0:19 for work and i was gone 10 days and 0:21 you're not going to believe this but i 0:24 carried one carry-on suitcase for 10-day 0:29 trip which included a business trip and 0:32 a vacation in italy and i just i just 0:34 thought that was fun so i thought you 0:36 might enjoy 0:37 learning what i packed for my trip so 0:39 come over here before we go into what i 0:40 brought from every there are a couple 0:42 things in it 0:43 number one i always bring a book when i 0:46 travel i read from scratch by tembi lock 0:50 when i was in sicily it's amazing i 0:53 actually dm'd tembe after i read the 0:56 book and she responded we had this this 0:59 exchange via dm so it was super fun to 1:01 be able to reach out to the author and 1:03 tell her that i loved reading her book 1:04 what we were doing in italy my husband 1:06 and i were biking across italy with a 1:08 group of 20 people with backroads so we 1:11 biked 220 miles 1:14 so i did have my bike short 1:16 and back roads gave us the bike shirt 1:19 from back roads so this was like my day 1:21 outfit and sneakers pretty much the 1:24 entire time i was in italy so here are 1:27 the items that i brought and i noticed 1:29 that for me 1:30 um because i knew it was going to be hot 1:32 both in arizona and in italy like really 1:36 really hot like arizona was 109 degrees 1:40 when i was there so cotton 1:42 linen and flowy was is really important 1:45 to me i brought this michael stars dress 1:48 that i love this is just 1:50 i mean just a tried and true dress 1:52 forever i love the stripes i paired it 1:54 with the white tevis right here mike and 1:57 i are very active we move around we 2:00 don't sit on the beach 2:02 sometimes but very rarely we are moving 2:04 around so i love having the tevas and 2:07 this dress this um 2:10 these supply green 2:12 mini dress i love this i typically don't 2:14 wear a lot of flowy dresses that's not 2:17 my style 2:18 um but when it's hot out when it's 109 2:22 degrees and really humid and hot i'm all 2:25 about the flow because i like the air 2:27 circulation i don't want to get hot so i 2:29 love this dress and i paired this dress 2:32 with the arizona love those green 2:34 arizona love trex sandals i just love 2:38 that i felt like that was such a great 2:40 outfit and it felt so bright in italy 2:43 because all i saw in italy were dresses 2:47 and functional sandals this was the 2:49 splendid dress but just a black dress it 2:51 does have a little split here which i 2:53 liked it just gave it a little bit of 2:54 edge but this to me felt like it could 2:57 you know just be a little cleaner and 2:59 more elegant and a little more elevated 3:01 and dressed up but still super casual so 3:04 i paired this with these slides right 3:06 here these facial slides that i packed 3:09 this is a very interesting piece it's 3:11 super flowy so if you're not a floyd 3:13 person you might not like it but for me 3:15 it was all about staying cool being 3:18 modern and minimal and so i actually 3:20 loved this it's very flowy i actually 3:23 wore it after i swam in the ocean i put 3:26 this on almost like a beach cover-up but 3:28 then i wore it with the slides 3:31 and i dress it up a little bit so i love 3:33 this and of course you know navy blue is 3:35 my all-time favorite color so that was 3:37 fun 3:38 my rivet utility linen playsuit dawn 3:41 dee's called these playsuits 3:44 and i love this this is actually a 3:46 really fun evening look 3:48 it comes across a little bit dressy 3:50 which is nice actually got a lot of 3:52 compliments from the women on the trip 3:54 they were all like what's that jumpsuit 3:56 what's that romper and it was fun to 3:58 tell them and introduce them to rivet 4:00 utility these linen pants now i have 4:03 these in black and i wore the black hair 4:06 they're by velvet and these are just 4:08 like the perfect travel pants 4:11 wide leg linen these actually pack 4:13 really well because i do think they can 4:16 look imperfect and that's okay i'm not a 4:19 huge short person so i'm very very 4:20 sensitive about the shorts i wear and 4:22 i'm loving all of our shirts by the 4:24 brand splendid i wore it a lot with my 4:26 bathing suit but i also paired it with 4:28 all the michael stars 4:30 tanks just for like an easy breezy look 4:32 and then boom 4:34 my tavas 4:35 or my slime i should talk about bags 4:37 because that is something that is um new 4:40 for me i'm bringing multiple bags on my 4:42 trips i don't know i've never had like a 4:44 handbag wardrobe before but 4:47 i am finding that i like a big tote like 4:50 this one 4:52 this is i think royland i like big toast 4:55 obviously for my carry-on bag i always 4:58 put a 4:59 fanny pack 5:00 usually i think roiland fanny pack into 5:03 my tote my biggest travel tips for me 5:05 are feeding the heat cotton 5:08 linen and flowy if you want to get 5:10 everything in one suitcase i suggest you 5:12 go for a modern 5:15 and minimal style aesthetic you can do 5:17 it if i can do 10 days 5:19 you can do it too 5:21
