to shop 00:19 a spring and summer essential that is 00:22 near and dear to my heart 00:24 dresses knit dresses i love dresses 00:28 as a curvy gal a size 10 12 00:31 large a dress for me is just such an 00:34 easy staple 00:35 it's so figure flattering it's easy to 00:37 wear but it's also for the busy mom and 00:39 me in those months 00:40 just an easy one and done outfit i love 00:43 them 00:44 um so i've tried them all on i got into 00:46 i actually can i tell a share story with 00:48 you real quick 00:49 so one of the reasons i'm so excited to 00:51 do this today 00:52 is last weekend i purged my closet i do 00:54 this at the end of every season 00:56 religiously i love to do 00:58 it i i love to let things go um that i 01:01 have not worn 01:02 um i love to have an easy view of what's 01:04 in my closet that brings me joy 01:06 um but one of the really funny things is 01:09 once i purged 01:10 i was looking at my spring assortment 01:12 like what i was starting the season with 01:14 and i'm gonna be honest i work in this 01:16 industry 01:16 and it was sad like it's a really sad 01:19 little story and then i 01:20 i thought about it i thought well of 01:22 course it's sad last year 01:24 i wasn't adding to my spring closet i 01:26 was just like you 01:28 i was thinking about toilet paper and 01:30 meat and how to get through the week and 01:31 so 01:32 um i just feel like it's such a gift uh 01:34 this spring 01:35 uh to just be adding to the spring 01:37 wardrobe and thinking about 01:39 what do i want in my closet this spring 01:41 um so i've been trying on and i want to 01:43 show you 01:44 three of my favorite dresses and i 01:46 really want to talk about how you can 01:47 get the most wear out of dresses 01:49 how you going to wear it for a day look 01:50 but how are you also going to take it 01:51 out to dinner 01:52 okay let's get started so this is dress 01:55 number one 01:56 this is our malibu midi and it's by 01:59 sundry 02:00 if you're not familiar with sundry they 02:01 have very easy sizing zero one two three 02:04 i'm in a size two 02:05 true to size uh this color it might show 02:08 up black but if you can see it against 02:09 the patent leather of this bag 02:11 it's actually a deep gray which is kind 02:14 of a 02:14 it's a fun neutral and this is 02:18 tiered so it's a little bit of a tear 02:20 under your bust and it tears all the way 02:22 down 02:23 again i'm 5'7 it hits me about mid-calf 02:27 this is super bra friendly i've just 02:29 layered a tank for a fashion standpoint 02:31 i like the layering of it i think it 02:33 it makes it look more casual for a day 02:35 look so layered underneath this sundry 02:37 dress 02:38 is our michael stars boat neck another 02:40 great essential 02:42 white and black tanks i mean we wear 02:44 them like crazy through the spring and 02:45 summer we wash them like crazy and just 02:47 have to update them every year 02:49 so this is a great 68 option 02:52 by again by michael stars so i've just 02:54 layered that under my dress 02:56 i've thrown on kind of thinking i might 02:58 be out in spring it's still a little 03:00 chilly 03:01 this is our julia cut jean jacket she's 03:04 got a raw hem 03:05 on the edge so it it's a little bit 03:07 cropped which is really great to wear 03:09 over a dress doesn't look too 03:10 oversized not a lot of deconstruction 03:13 here it's a nice 03:14 clean medium wash would go with a lot of 03:17 different things 03:18 for shoes what are we going to wear with 03:21 our midi dresses 03:22 this spring and summer wear a platform 03:25 sandal so i've pulled out our sorel 03:29 and let me show you this up close and 03:31 personal so this is the cameron 03:34 if you're shopping this is the cameron 03:36 platform sandal 03:37 it's actually really pretty hopefully 03:39 you can see this in video 03:40 this is kind of a jute uh fabric and so 03:43 it's that natural jute color with the 03:45 black 03:46 and a chevron it's got a great little i 03:48 don't want to mess with taking them off 03:50 my feet 03:50 but it is very easy it's got a little 03:52 velcro 03:53 to it and sorel for me i love in spring 03:57 and summer because it's just a perfect 03:58 marriage of fashion 04:00 but also function they're so comfortable 04:02 i could go out and about shopping 04:04 wear these all day but what i love is 04:07 this would be an easy transition at 04:09 night to dinner so 04:10 super easy day look i would probably i 04:14 might lose 04:14 the little tank to make this look a 04:17 little bit dressy for the evening 04:18 i might put on a third layer for my 04:20 necklace but my shoes 04:22 i would really keep my shoes i would do 04:24 this into dinner okay so that's dress 04:26 number one by sundry let kind of this icat 04:52 meets tie dye it's these beautiful 04:56 neutrals kind of a camel a black a gray 04:59 a cream 05:01 all of my faves i am a big fan of 05:03 neutrals 05:04 it is a maxi length i just chose to knot 05:08 it give it a little bit of excitement at 05:10 the bottom 05:11 i'm showing you out to dinner i started 05:14 a little fancier first 05:15 because i like all the accessories this 05:18 is actually a short sleeve 05:20 long t-shirt dress and i will show you 05:22 that in a minute but i just wanted you 05:24 to see it all layered up so 05:26 if i were going out to dinner in this um 05:28 i would add all the accessories so i 05:30 kept on my dylan pendant necklace 05:32 i added this lola ring have you bought 05:34 the lola i love her 05:35 she is silver and gold so she's going to 05:37 mix with everything you have 05:39 square design with kind of rounded 05:42 corners 05:43 and just a real statement piece for a 05:45 nice little cocktail ring 05:47 i can't remember the names of all of 05:48 these but these are all just 05:50 individual gold bangles that i layered 05:52 on for fun 05:54 this i think sometimes for me what i 05:56 like to do over a maxi dress is instead 05:58 of doing that typical jean jacket 06:00 if i don't need the weight if it's not 06:03 that that cold out 06:04 i like to just do a little chambray 06:06 shirt so this is a new one by rails 06:09 rails is hands down my favorite it's a 06:12 little bit of a splurge but these button 06:13 downs will be in your wardrobe forever 06:16 i bought the wash pink you'll see that 06:18 on lineup too i 06:19 came in wearing that today it is my 06:21 absolute favorite so this is the ingrid 06:24 um just a really really light washed out 06:26 chambray fits true to size i'm in a 06:28 large 06:29 i just rolled up the sleeves did a 06:31 little bit of a front tie here i kind of 06:33 wear it nice and open 06:35 and then from a wardrobing standpoint to 06:37 your body type again if you are a curvy 06:39 gal 06:40 doing that little nip here right above 06:42 your waist kind of creating a waistline 06:45 letting your curve shine through 06:47 this has pockets so i just think that's 06:49 really fun as well 06:51 for a shoe again i'm thinking dinner so 06:53 i went with our schutz 06:55 it's the victoria and an out to dinner 06:58 sandal you really want to do something 07:00 this year with cork 07:02 and lucite so the cork is really fun 07:04 yells spring and summer 07:05 the lucite is where your your leg just 07:08 kind of disappears 07:09 um and it's all one fluid line which is 07:12 really great for that nice long lean 07:15 here i'll stand back a little bit more 07:17 and then this is the sutton 07:19 i'm a hat girl if you are not a hat girl 07:21 i'm going make 09:19 that a little bit shorter 09:20 but it's so comfortable it's t-shirt 09:22 material 09:23 and it is called the weekender for a 09:25 reason um 09:27 i'm at the ballpark i'm at the ballpark 09:28 all summer long 09:30 and so i i hate shorts i'm hot 09:33 and i'm sweaty and i'd much rather 09:35 prefer to wear a skirt 09:36 so this little weekender dress for me is 09:39 perfect 09:40 um this year i'm going to update to this 09:42 print it is charcoal 09:44 with a little bit of camo it's a great 09:47 update for me 09:48 i threw on again hack girl um i threw on 09:51 this little lightning bolt cap it's by 09:53 harriet isles just really really fun 09:55 fun and easy again don't have to worry 09:57 about your hair as it gets humid 09:59 throughout the day 10:00 i threw back on my think roiling again 10:03 wearing it just kind of high crossbody 10:05 and i just think these accessories kind 10:07 of finish it off um 10:09 i would go super casual freedom moses 10:11 all summer
