0:03 [Music] 0:08 [Applause] 0:09 hey friends i'm so glad that you tuned 0:11 in today because on the right side of 50 0:13 we are talking about spring layers now 0:16 whether you are already living somewhere 0:18 where that's like full into spring or 0:20 you're like us in minnesota where we're 0:22 getting just a tease of spring here and 0:24 there we do know that sometimes you're 0:26 going to need that little layer just to 0:28 get you through some of those days that 0:30 are in like the 50s and the 60s when 0:31 you're not quite ready for tank tops 0:33 okay 0:34 well i'm going to start with this great 0:35 little sweater here from 525. um it's a 0:39 great little like a shaker style sweater 0:41 if you're a kid a child of the 80s 0:42 that's kind of what it reminds me of um 0:44 this beautiful little like robin's egg 0:46 blue which again perfect for spring a 0:49 little bit 0:50 longer so those of you that maybe are 0:53 more comfortable wearing something long 0:55 that kind of runs a little lower you 0:58 might like this or if you're tall gal 0:59 like me 1:01 wearing a long sweater like this 1:02 actually looks like something that would 1:03 be just a normal size on a a little more 1:06 petite person okay 1:08 i layered it this is my layer um 1:11 underneath with a crisp white shirt from 1:14 good american now it that takes you kind 1:17 of back to like the men's suiting crispy 1:18 white shirt why i love the fabrication 1:21 of this good american is it's a little 1:23 bit stiffer which i love because when 1:26 you style it then and you pop that 1:28 collar because you know i'm a collar 1:29 popper it stays up you don't get the 1:31 floppy floppy it stays up it stays 1:34 really crisp and really just seems a 1:36 little more elevated um than your 1:38 typical layer okay another styling tip 1:41 um you know me i like to like pull out 1:43 those cuffs a little um and then just 1:46 cuff them up a little bit like one 1:48 little layer and then just pop the 1:51 sleeves a little i mean look at that 1:53 that movement is so great and really 1:55 shows off the fact that you've got those 1:57 layering pieces on 2:00 together okay 2:01 so fun now i put mine also um with these 2:05 great little citizens of humanity shorts 2:08 um they run a little bit longer again 2:10 now i'm 5'9 so you can kind of see where 2:12 that hits on me again even with that we 2:15 got the shirt and the layered sweater 2:17 that will just cover in the back if you 2:18 need a little more coverage it is a 2:20 high-rise denim why do i like high-rise 2:23 denim i like high-rise lung because i 2:25 don't like muffin tops high-rise denim 2:27 hits a little closer to your waist and 2:28 it keeps everything in so if you are at 2:31 any point wearing like a more 2:32 form-fitting shirt you're not going to 2:34 get any of that muffin top showing which 2:36 i love 2:37 okay um great little distressing on 2:39 there which makes it 2:40 a little more casual i love kind of the 2:42 juxtaposition of the crispy white 2:45 tailored men's shirt with the fun little 2:47 distressed shorts and then of course the 2:49 shoes i mean can we even with these 2:51 shoes mark fisher fun little strappy 2:55 sandal they go all the way around your 2:56 ankle the thing i love about this too is 2:59 it has a little strap on your toe so 3:02 those of you that you know sometimes 3:03 those summer sandals that go between 3:05 your toes can rub a little bit and not 3:07 everybody is comfortable wearing that 3:08 this one's perfect it gives you a fun 3:10 little look but it's just that one that 3:12 one little strap over your big toe um in 3:14 a real neutral shade so it keeps 3:15 everything again real neutral and calm 3:17 for spring 3:18 and then jewelry you know i always have 3:20 to have little jewelry on these fun 3:22 little um 3:23 opal earrings which i think are so great 3:25 little acrylic ones 3:27 fun little bracelet stack and the team 3:29 will link those um for you in this and 3:33 bags i always have to have a bag i am a 3:35 bag girl i've got all different kinds 3:37 because you just need a bag to complete 3:39 your outfit this is a fun little bag 3:41 that we have in it's a new brand for us 3:43 called mercado that we're carrying um 3:46 fun little i mean look at this this fun 3:48 little leather strap on here that ties 3:51 you can use it as a tote 3:53 and just throw it over you can also tie 3:56 it in the inside so it's a little more 3:58 structured if you want to i mean i mean 4:01 so many options and then the tassels the 4:03 detail on here just really completes the 4:06 outfit so 4:07 so many layers so many fun pieces all 4:10 together you are wearing this out you 4:12 were wearing this about you are running 4:13 errands you're meeting friends for maybe 4:15 a lunch or something you're getting 4:17 outside because the weather's so 4:19 beautiful okay that was look number one 4:21 for spring layers i'll be right back 4:23 let's look number two i remember as a 4:25 kid my grandma each year would give me 4:28 money to buy a new spring jacket and if 4:31 i was still doing that tradition this is 4:33 the jacket i would get it is a great 4:35 little trench coat it's called the ever 4:38 trench by every eve 4:40 it is kind of like the classic shape of 4:42 a traditional trench coat fun little 4:44 pockets it's got the detail of the 4:47 little strap on the sleeve the little 4:49 tortoise shell buttons but it's an 4:52 upgrade from the traditional 4:54 uh kind of like london fog style it's a 4:57 little more loose fabrication um so it's 5:00 much more um on trend i would say and it 5:03 really moves when you walk it's very 5:06 very very soft 5:07 i also like the fact that it's not like 5:10 a stiff heavy fabrication um so that you 5:12 if you just need that light layer you're 5:15 not going to get too warm and it also 5:17 keeps it really easy so for you to keep 5:19 moving whether you're picking up kids or 5:21 loading the car or having to carry 5:23 different things you've got plenty of 5:25 moving and it's never too tight um also 5:27 if you remember like the old school 5:29 trench coast coats always had like a 5:31 buckle a little belt that came around 5:33 with a big buckle and everybody kind of 5:35 didn't know what to do with it they were 5:36 either tying it in the back or tucking 5:38 it in the pockets so we solved that 5:40 problem for you in the back it's got a 5:43 little panel that's ruched so it already 5:45 gathers right in the back for you so you 5:47 don't need to even deal with the fussy 5:49 fuzzy belt okay 5:50 um again this has that that look of a 5:53 trench coat and like a raincoat feel 5:56 it's not a raincoat per se again which 5:59 keeps it not such a heavy fabrication 6:01 it's softer and again really on trend 6:04 okay um now what i layered underneath 6:06 this was this cute little top i'm 6:08 actually gonna take the jacket off for a 6:10 second this cute little top from goldie 6:12 um it looks like a basic tee but when 6:15 you take the little jacket off i mean 6:17 look how special this is this fun little 6:20 gathered ruching that goes all the way 6:21 down from shoulder to elbow which makes 6:24 this just so special it's a nice thin 6:27 layer 6:28 again that you can just easily put 6:29 underneath the jacket or a blazer even 6:32 but it's special enough to wear on its 6:34 own should you want to do that um and 6:36 then the jeans 6:37 five nine i'm always looking for a jean 6:39 that's long enough for me and it doesn't 6:41 look like i'm always wearing cropped 6:43 jeans 6:44 this is the one for you my friends this 6:45 is by a.g it's the alexis straight so a
