00:00 [Music] 00:07 hey 00:08 fun three days three ways today we are 00:10 going to talk one of the great new 00:12 trends that is happening this fall 00:13 season 00:14 monochromatic dressing now this should 00:16 be easy right one color head to toe how 00:19 hard can it be well there's a few tips 00:21 and tricks that i'm going to give you 00:22 that make this dressing just a little 00:24 bit easier and a whole lot of fun and 00:28 what i know you need right now a fast 00:30 way to get out the door we're gonna 00:32 start with a look for work 00:34 switch it up for play and then of course 00:37 a little date night look 00:39 coming up 00:41 okay look number one this is something i 00:43 would wear for work or any occasion when 00:45 i need it to be just a tiny little bit 00:48 more elevated the secret sauce of this 00:50 it is crazy comfortable but still looks 00:52 polished and put together let's start 00:54 with the foundation pieces number one 00:56 i've got on those amazing edwin britt 00:59 straits 01:00 so comfortable this is a fun way to do 01:03 white 01:04 all the way into fall and winter this is 01:06 more of a winter white they actually 01:08 call it vanilla more of a creamy color 01:11 absolutely love this 01:12 one tip i always say about white or 01:14 cream or light denim if the pocket bags 01:17 bug you bring them into your tailor they 01:18 can cut them out and just sew those 01:20 pockets closed then you don't see that 01:23 pocket bag peeking through now these are 01:25 more of an ankle length i'm showing off 01:26 that ankle with my fun shearling flat 01:30 i absolutely love this shoe and i think 01:32 the fun thing about this and what makes 01:34 this interesting is it adds an element 01:36 of texture to this look so it's not 01:38 solid and flat now i popped on 01:41 the most comfortable sweatshirt known to 01:43 man this is from every 01:45 absolutely love this guy it's got a 01:47 little kangaroo pocket and 01:49 this quarter zip silhouette which is 01:52 everywhere this fall season now i love 01:54 this because it opens up the neckline 01:57 if you're a little bit curvier on top 01:58 really helps balance your proportion if 02:00 your neck is a little bit shorter or if 02:03 you've got an amazing short haircut 02:05 which i'm loving all these pixie cuts 02:07 i'm seeing as of late a really fun way 02:10 to frame her face and show it off and of 02:11 course 02:12 adjust it to where you want it to be 02:14 popped on a little gold layer necklace 02:16 for a little bit of glint and then let's 02:17 talk about the showstopper piece that 02:19 pulls it all together so i've got my 02:23 sherpa my vanilla 02:25 my oatmeal and then my plaid jacket from 02:28 bb dakota now this puppy is kind of that 02:32 shacket blazer jacket had a baby all 02:36 together so 02:37 longer length i'm petite yes you can get 02:40 away with this it's knee length on me 02:43 and i'm only 5'4 02:45 it's definitely a heavier weight so this 02:47 is also a perfect 02:49 lightweight kind of overcoat jacket if 02:51 you need something i'm also thinking 02:53 this would be fun even for evening 02:54 football games and just swap out the 02:56 shoe for maybe a little boot but for 02:59 work i think it's really fun because it 03:00 feels polished and put together but not 03:03 too over the top and it pulls in all the 03:06 shades without being too matchy matchy 03:09 simple 03:10 easy 03:11 really fun and absolutely one of my 03:13 favorite pieces all season and the best 03:16 part about these mix and match them with 03:18 other looks all day long okay we've got 03:21 a play look coming up 03:24 okay look number two 03:26 football games i 03:29 see you and i'm ready for you backyard 03:32 bonfires i'm dressed for it and yes 03:35 i am one of those crazy people who's 03:36 already thinking about halloween and 03:38 kind of a little bit excited about it so 03:39 i see you and i'm gonna wear this to you 03:42 too so here's the deal monochromatic in 03:45 black this can get real dark real fast 03:47 and you can disappear in this look so 03:50 the secret in this one is all about the 03:53 textures and levels starting from the 03:56 bottom 03:57 such a fun sneaker i had to get this one 03:59 and this is from mark fisher it has a 04:01 little bit of sherpa in it 04:03 kind of a nod to that skater sneaker you 04:06 might have had back in the day 04:08 all grown up and so very cool it's kind 04:11 of a hybrid between a low top and a high 04:14 top and the reason i like it is because 04:16 it's easy to wear with ankle length 04:18 jeans because it doesn't come up so high 04:20 shows that little bit of skin and gives 04:22 that leg some length speaking of legs 04:25 and length 04:26 can we get a thank you thank you thank 04:28 you once again to good american for 04:31 making the best denim out there this is 04:35 the good legs i love this yummy gray 04:38 black wash i think it helps 04:41 break this look up just a little bit but 04:43 it's got enough of those dark details in 04:46 the stitching 04:47 and in the leg to really pick up all 04:49 that black 04:51 this jean is a dream so 04:54 much stretch so darn comfortable 04:58 runs true to size 05:00 higher waist so really holds you in 05:03 absolutely one of my favorites now 05:06 popped on this amazing jacket from blank 05:10 noir 05:12 i love this guy this patent makes it 05:14 interesting a little bit of shine it is 05:17 lightweight so it's not going to weigh 05:19 you down 05:20 fun little details in it check this out 05:22 for your phone for those morning walks 05:25 podcasts whatever you might be listening 05:27 to 05:28 it has more of a side zip so when you do 05:30 zip it 05:31 man does this guy give you a good shape 05:34 which is so hard to find in a puffer now 05:37 underneath 05:38 my secret sauce one of my favorite new 05:40 sweaters from five to five 05:43 tiny tiny tiny nod to the mock neck so 05:46 not so much that if you feel all choked 05:48 up on a turtleneck this guy's gonna 05:50 creep up on you pretty low 05:52 cable stitching down the sleeve and a 05:55 fun little bit of lift 05:57 to give it a feminine edge and then of 05:59 course not too too long again these are 06:01 high rise but this is a slightly shorter 06:04 length so you don't have to worry about 06:06 half talking or talking it's going to 06:07 hit you 06:08 right at your waist but not so low that 06:12 you're going to get that tummy 06:13 see-through when you raise your arms 06:16 done 06:16 black solved running around we got you 06:20 covered i've got a little date and look 06:22 coming up okay last look and this is a 06:25 fun spin on that 06:28 one color monochromatic dressing 06:30 you can do levels so we definitely were 06:33 staying pretty tonal in our creams and 06:35 blacks but yes you can do it with color 06:37 too this is a simple way to do it 06:40 without feeling like a big old crayola 06:42 crayon 06:43 i know what you're thinking this is 06:44 easier so fun playing on all these yummy 06:49 blushes and wine tones that are 06:51 happening this season 06:53
