in this cozy cozy studio but talking 00:36 about some really cute fun tops that'll 00:38 get me through and may bring a little 00:39 sunshine to an otherwise kind of gray 00:43 and frankly frigid 00:45 day i hope someone out there is having 00:47 warmer weather than us because man this 00:48 is brutal it's one of those days we like 00:50 back out for those of you who don't live 00:52 in a cold climate you back out of your 00:54 garage and it makes this horrendous 00:57 sound like the earth is cracking open 00:59 because it is so cold 01:01 so we're just going to hunker down we're 01:02 going to do a little life so here's the 01:04 deal 01:05 so many fun tops and 01:07 this time of year we're always looking 01:09 for ways to infuse some newness into our 01:11 wardrobe a top is the easiest way to do 01:14 it i've got some great tea some fun 01:15 sweatshirts great button downs and i'm 01:18 gonna highlight some of our favorite 01:20 good american new denim that just came 01:22 in so let's start with this now to me 01:25 this is kind of a clean slate fresh 01:27 palette started off right kind of 01:30 uniform i grab a fabulous white shirt 01:33 pair it back to a great pair of denim 01:36 and a great kick and i am done and done 01:39 frankly this is my uniform year-round 01:41 but when in doubt during the new year 01:43 this is what i lean into so let's start 01:45 with this great top this is from cloth 01:47 and stone now one of the reasons i 01:49 absolutely adore this shirt it's gauze 01:52 and it's a little bit shorter so for 01:55 those of you who have adopted and are 01:57 embracing that higher rise in denim 02:01 and you like to do a full tuck to get 02:03 credit for that waste 02:05 this is a fabulous top to wear because 02:08 it is so easy to tuck in it's not super 02:12 long now i'm pairing it back to that 90s 02:16 fit and for those of you who graduated 02:19 or have some fun memories of those 90s 02:22 let me tell you 02:24 this gene takes the best and forgets the 02:26 rest so here's the deal higher rise 02:30 more room through the hip and thigh in a 02:33 straight leg and here's the clincher 02:35 with the 90s a fuller length so for you 02:38 long legged mamas for those of you who 02:41 like a full-length denim or frankly 02:43 those of you who live in a climate like 02:44 i do and it is frigid 02:47 this is a fabulous silhouette to pop on 02:49 because you get that coverage now easy 02:52 easy right pair it back to a pair of 02:53 kicks now i grabbed these from p448 02:56 one of the many many reasons i love 02:58 these is they are such a clean shoe 03:02 solid white with just this little hit of 03:04 kind of a black full crack on the back 03:06 crazy crazy comfortable go with anything 03:10 and if you're maybe planning a trip in 03:13 the future i don't know about you i 03:14 always bring a pair of kicks with me on 03:16 a trip this is an easy one to wear in 03:18 the airport slip on slip off throw it in 03:21 your bag throw it on with a little dress 03:23 good to go so 03:25 if we stay on this fun kind of 03:27 button-down trend i've got a couple more 03:29 great ones to show you 03:31 from sundry so great okay let's start 03:34 with this guy so poplin 03:36 what i think is so fun about this is 03:38 that it takes kind of that clean 03:40 button-down silhouette and adds some fun 03:43 feminine detail but not over the top so 03:45 you get this really fun little stripe 03:48 here which i think is so darn cute a 03:50 little bit fuller sleeve and gathering 03:52 at the wrist but it's not elastic so 03:55 you're still going to get that button 03:57 closure 03:58 easy easy body this looks great with a 04:00 pair of denim tucked in i also 04:02 absolutely love this with a pair of cut 04:04 offs this especially for tricks this is a great 05:06 one to wear as your cover-up don't over 05:08 pack you don't need a fancy special 05:10 cover up this guy can totally do the 05:12 trick it's light and breezy and easy 05:15 it'll keep the sun off of your arms when 05:16 you've just had enough 05:18 long enough to cover the tush really 05:20 easy to pop on so darn cute so fresh to 05:24 and from the beach love this guy 05:27 now another version of kind of the shirt 05:29 i'm wearing this is gauze wanted to show 05:32 you this beautiful drapey fabric this is 05:35 an every style so fun also comes in 05:38 black note 05:40 this guy is kind of your white shirt 05:42 chameleon so 05:43 runs a little longer wear this with 05:45 leggings if you're doing that now or a 05:47 great pair of joggers and then a longer 05:50 coat 05:50 chic easy done 05:53 pair it with a pair of jeans unbutton it 05:55 a little bit stack up your necklaces 05:58 throw on a pair of hoops and a heel 06:00 dinner out 06:02 pop it on with a great jean a little 06:05 sneak baby hoops like i got on now 06:08 out the door your weekend uniform can't 06:11 go wrong with a white shirt always on a 06:13 quest to find the perfect one if you 06:15 don't like a lot of kind of rigidity 06:18 feeling in a shirt this guy has all the 06:20 great drape to it one of my absolute 06:22 favorites i do think this guy runs a 06:24 little generous not so much that i would 06:25 go down a size but just note that it's a 06:28 little bit more of a relaxed silhouette 06:30 so if you want something to feel a 06:31 little more tailored i would go down a 06:33 size for that reason 06:36 and last but not least there's that fun 06:39 denim category so 06:42 had to show this guy from free people 06:44 this has been one of my
