It is0:03Heidi here and lucky me, I get to step0:05in for the amazing Ashley who is on0:10route to California to, believe it or0:13not, shoot our December catalog. So,0:18speaking of cataloges, our September0:21issue is just hitting mailboxes, and oh0:26my goodness, is there amazing stuff to0:30be had. This season, we are talking0:32about the art of the edge, which is all0:34about the magic of bold choices and0:37beautiful contrast and really finding0:40the magic in mixing and matching. And0:44gang, we've got a whole rack of goodies.0:47I am dying to know what trends you are0:50most curious about. We're going to walk0:52through some of our absolute favorites.0:55But I'm curious what you're ready for,0:57what you're looking for, and as always,1:01what are you wondering about, and how1:03can we help you get styled for the1:05season? Okay, I'm going to put this guy1:07aside. We're going to start with what1:09I'm wearing today, which is probably one1:10of the biggest trends of the season.1:14Suede. Why I love suede. It adds great1:17texture to any outfit that you're1:19putting together. It has an elevated,1:22really chic look to it. It can go night1:25out. It can go work. It can even go1:29play. And so, we've got lots of great1:31options. This is one of my favorites,1:33the fabulous midi skirt from Evereve.1:35Now, this got this wonderful removable1:37belt. I just do a little self tie knot1:39on the side, but I also love it just as1:41much when I add a belt to it. Great1:44slit. So, for those of you who might be1:46a little bit hesitant to go with that1:48midi skirt, feeling like it's too long,1:50it's going to swallow you up. This slit1:53does all the things. Now, I'm pairing it1:55back to one of my other favorite trends.1:57Here it is, gang. That art of the edge,1:58the mixing and matching. It is all about2:01collegiate prep and anything rugby is a2:05musth have for the season. Now, why I2:07love this sweater from 525, it's all in2:10the detail. This great little kind of2:12double collar here. I like that it gives2:15you that nice open neckline. And this is2:17just a little bit shorter. So, I did2:19just a tiny little tuck in the front to2:22give myself some waist detail. And I did2:24pair it back to a suede boot. So, this2:26is one of the things that I also love2:29about suede that I actually think makes2:31it more2:32interesting and a heck of a lot easier2:35to style than vegan. You can mix your2:37suede. So, I've got on this beautiful2:39conac back to this gorgeous chocolate.2:42So easy to pair. Other really great2:45pieces I have to show you. One of my2:47handsdown favorites is this fabulous2:50dress. Also in a faux suede, beautiful2:53chocolate brown. I love the gold button2:55detail. You might remember we had a2:58version of this in denim that came in in3:00August in and out like a flash. What is3:04so great about this though gang is you3:06can layer it. Put something on over. Put3:08something on under. Wear it on its own3:10for a fun little night out option.3:13Elevate it a bit with a jacket or a3:15layer underneath. That tibi lace layer3:17would be phenomenal under this. It looks3:19perfect for work. Also really nice3:23stretch in this one. So super super3:26comfortable and it's in just a tiny bit3:29of a shorter length. So kind of nods to3:30that great little mini trend.3:33Another great suede piece that has been3:36a handsdown favorite is this fabulous3:39suede tea. This is another Every3:40exclusive. Why I love this one at no3:43fuss, no mus, no tuck. little bit3:47shorter length. So great with a slightly3:49mid-rise or high-waisted jean on this3:52one. The seaming detail on this is3:54really to me what makes it. Also has3:57that great little keyhole back. It's3:59another chameleon. So if you are looking4:01towards that fall trip and you need a4:03piece that you can dress up or dress4:05down, throw this one in your bag. It's4:07going to do all the hard work for you.4:10Now I mentioned mini. So gang, it's a4:12season of the leg. Let's be honest.4:14Let's show off those gams. It's also the4:17season of tights. So, always so many4:20questions. Can I wear tights? What do I4:21do with tights when I'm wearing a4:22shorter skirt? Tights are back in a big4:26way. So, if you are a little bit4:28hesitant about wearing a shorter skirt,4:31pop on a great pair of tights with it.4:33You can go totally opaque or you can go4:35a little bit sheer. I love it with a4:37tall boot. Really lengthens the leg.4:40This great little mini comes in two4:42colors. this beautiful caramel and then4:44as well as black, which I think is a4:46little unexpected and a whole lot of4:49fun. Now, when I say mini gang, I'm not4:52talking like crazy crazy short. This is4:55not a I can't kneel down in this. This4:57is not a like I'm going to expose the5:00world. It is just short enough to show5:02off those legs and be uber uber5:04flattering. And notice this has a little5:06bit of that Aine silhouette, so it's not5:09going to hug you too tight in the hips.5:11going to have a little bit of a kick.5:12Really, really comfortable. Now, if I5:15was going to buy just one suede piece5:17this season, I think this would be it.5:20This fabulous suede, amazing blazer. How5:25chic is this? Now, why I would make this5:28my purchase over any other suede piece,5:30you can wear it as a jacket, you can5:32wear it as a blazer, you can wear it as5:34a topper over like a slip dress would be5:36so chic. I love the idea of like popping5:39this on for football games, tailgating.5:42Yeah, you're gonna be the most put5:44together person there. You could also5:45wear this for work, obviously, or throw5:48it on with a tea and jeans. Layer it up5:51with a button-down. Nobrainer weekend5:54runaround. So gorgeous from Blank New5:56York. And gang, the price on this one is5:58so fantastic. Under $200. Suede four6:01days. So beautiful. I love the covered6:04buttons on this one. It's a absolute6:07musthave. Get this one in your closet.6:09If you are wondering, this is the one6:12you need before anything else. Get6:14yourself a suede blazer. Question.6:16Um, are shorter boots with tights6:18looking for the mini skirts?6:19Absolutely. For sure. So, I'm loving I'm6:22loving any sort of like tight skirt boot6:25combination. Now, if you have not6:27invested in a pair of taller boots, this6:29is the season to do it. And here's why.6:31I'm loving everything that's happening6:33with midi maxi and mini skirts and all6:36of the lengths are really coming back. A6:39long boot is really going to lengthen6:43that leg. Super super flattering. Or if6:46you're in a midi like this that has that6:47slit and you don't want to wear a tight,6:50it's a great way to get a little bit6:51more coverage especially on some of6:53these chillier days that are kind of6:54coming our way. Okay, suede suede6:57blazer. Love it. Love it. Love it. Got6:59to have it. Another jacket that I am7:02sure you are hearing just a ton about is7:06the barn coat. So, this gives me like7:09real strong memories of being in college7:12watching the like 10,000 J Crew7:14cataloges get delivered to my dorm every7:17month. It's like that but so much7:21better. So, I love it when a trend comes7:23around and it's improved a thousand%.7:25This is it. So, here's the deal, gang.7:27Number one, little bit shorter length.7:30So, not so masculine, not so boxy,7:32really meant to fit and flatter. Also,7:35the details on this are what makes it so7:37fantastic. So, I love this version from7:39Blank that has that great little7:41corduroy hit. They paid attention to all7:44the details on this one. Now, this has7:46that kind of more waxed cotton look to7:49it, a little bit warmer. So, if you're7:51looking for a jacket that has a little7:53bit more heft to it, that great fall7:56coat that you want to wear and layer up,7:58this is your absolute home run best8:01friend. Quilted on the inside, those8:04great brass snaps, those big patch8:07pockets. Such a really fantastic jacket,8:10and it even has that little bit of8:12corduroy lining on the arm. If you want8:16to do something that's a little bit8:17lighter weight, I love this version of8:20the barn coat because to me this almost8:21acts like a bringing the outside in kind8:24of jacket. You could treat this as a8:26jacket or you could absolutely treat8:28this as more of like a blazer. So,8:30loving the idea, let's say, of taking8:32this great little jacket, pairing it8:35back to that fun suede skirt. Got your8:38tights, got your boots, you're good to8:40go. Little bit lighter waking. So, for8:42those of you I'm thinking that are in8:43the south where the weather is still8:45warm and you're looking towards those8:47football games that are coming late8:49September, October when the temperature8:51starts to dip a little bit. This is such8:53a great little jacket to have. Throw it8:55out on again over your shoulder and that8:58beautiful ombre plaid is just so9:01fantastic with the faux suede. So darn9:03cute.9:04Okay, we have a couple more.9:06Yes, I love it. So, people are loving9:08the suede skirt and the blazer.9:09Yes.9:10Um, this suede skirt. What's your9:12opinion for taller girls? And is it9:15lined?9:16I mean, okay, first of all, lucky you9:19taller gals, show off those legs. It is.9:23Let's see.9:25It is lined in that kind of faux suede9:28material on the back, so it's not going9:30to cling to your leg, which I love. Yes,9:33if you're tall, you can wear a mini. Of9:34course, you can wear a mini. You're the9:36one who's supposed to wear the mini over9:38all of us um otherwise vertically9:40challenged gals. So yes, you absolutely9:42can do it. Again, I think this is what9:44makes the minis kind of come back this9:46season so fantastic is it because tights9:50are back. If you're feeling like you're9:52a little too exposed in the legs when9:56you go bare with a taller boot and a9:58mini, pop on a tight. Done and done.10:00Makes it so much easier.10:01All right, the blazer.10:03Yes, the bler. I wonder if you could try10:06it on just kind of give other ideas.10:09Yes. Okay. So, I mean, here's the thing.10:13A blazer is your closet's best friend no10:15matter what anyway, right? This is like10:17the most versatile piece you can have in10:19your closet. Whenever you see someone10:21talking about a capsule wardrobe,10:23they're always talking about you need a10:24great blazer, you need a great blazer.10:26And here's the thing. I think what's10:28really fun is when you're thinking about10:29building out those great essential10:31pieces, sometimes instead of just going10:34simple, expected, I like to give a10:36little twist to it. So, yeah, every10:38closet needs a blazer, but why not make10:40it suede this season? And chocolate10:42brown really is so versatile. It goes10:44with black, it goes with brown, it goes10:45with khaki, it goes with navy. It's a10:47color you can wear with just about10:49anything. So, true to size on this one.10:52More of a shaped fit. How I wear it?10:55Well, I like it really clean, simple,10:57easy. T-shirt, jeans, and I am done. One11:00of the things that's so fun that's11:02happening is with all of this suede,11:04we're also seeing it come through in11:06belts. So, add a little belt to it. This11:09one has just a nod of western flare with11:12that gold hit and in so many great11:14colors. Light tan, this beautiful red,11:17as well as this gorgeous chocolate11:18brown. It's a great way to pick it up if11:21you want to jazz it up a little bit,11:23maybe add some more interest to it,11:25that's when I add that third layer. And11:27layers are so important this season to11:30adding that edge to any look. So, I11:32think a simple way to do this without11:34having to worry about tucking and11:36fussing is adding a button down. You can11:38tuck it in or leave it open and leave it11:42out. So, t-shirt,11:44woven shirt, unbuttoned, open, fabulous11:48blazer over. Another great way to do11:51this look is just pop on a turtleneck11:53with this. So sleek, so French, so chic.11:58If you just want one layer but a little12:00bit of novelty, add a little stripe,12:02something whether it's a lightweight12:04sweater or even a knit tea would be so12:06easy. Cashmere layer would be fabulous.12:10Short sleeve sweater. love that idea.12:12There's really like no way you can go12:15wrong with this one. I also honestly12:18love the idea too of wearing this great12:20suede blazer with more of a lightweight12:23sweatshirt. So, this kind of brings us12:26into our next trend, which is this12:27collegiate prep. So, I nodded to it with12:30this fabulous polo sweater I have on.12:33There's other great ways to do it, too,12:34more casually. And this is a great12:36example. Brand new sweatshirt. New York12:39Tennis Club. Love this. This is from12:41Sunny Somewhere. Brand new brand here at12:44Ever. They do fantastic graphics and the12:46softest sweatshirts known to man. This12:49would be such a cute combination. Check12:51it out. Navy brown. Navy brown. Memorize12:54this color story because it's so rich12:55and beautiful. This would be a really12:57great way to kind of just take a casual12:59look and turn it up one notch. Love that13:01idea. That help. Great. Great. It's a13:06must, you guys. It's such a great13:07jacket. The fit is a dream. really13:09really easy to layer this one and it's13:11something you're going to wear again and13:13again. I promise. I promise. I promise.13:15So, let's keep talking about this13:16collegiate prep trend because it's13:18definitely happening. So, pieces that13:20we're really liking here are rugby,13:23anything, whether it's a sweatshirt, the13:24sweater that I have on. I mentioned that13:27great graphic sweatshirt. Here's another13:30fun one that I think is so great from13:31Zupp. I like this one because it's a13:34little more oversized and relaxed. And13:36then you can see the sunny summer13:37somewhere is a little bit more tailored.13:39What I think makes this trend really13:42fresh and new is layering it with some13:44sort of woven underneath. So everybody's13:47got a great white tea to layer. Grab13:49that LNA, pop it under, but to give it a13:52little bit more personality. I think13:54this is when getting that woven shirt to13:56kind of peek out underneath the collar13:58and then pairing say a sweatshirt like14:00that or this great little sweater back14:02to a track pant is what really makes14:04this feel fresh and new. So loving this14:08guy in the chocolate brown. So fun. I14:10also absolutely love the black. If you14:12are just starting in this trend, I would14:15go black. It's so easy. You can dress it14:18up, make it more casual. It looks great14:20with the loafer. I also love it with a14:23sneaker. And even for a night out, grab14:27a black tank, a black sling back, some14:29strong gold jewelry, and you've got the14:31easiest night out look ever. Another14:34really great travel piece because it's14:36so crazy versatile. Also looks great14:40with more of a fitted denim jacket. Lots14:42of options on kind of how to style that14:44track pant. I did have a question from a14:47girlfriend this weekend who was saying,14:48"I'm petite. I'm petite. I feel like I'm14:50drowning. All track pants are long and14:53they're meant to be a little bit more14:54relaxed. The great thing about these is14:56you can chop off inches and inches and14:58inches and it doesn't matter because14:59it's a straight silhouette. I just15:02chopped off almost five inches in a pair15:03I just bought. So, do not feel bad about15:05doing that. It's not going to impact the15:07fit of it. They're great. And actually,15:10that like track line is really slimming15:12on the legs. So, it's a total15:13no-brainer.15:15Another great jacket that I just had to15:17call out because this is a fun little15:19spin, I think, on that varsity jacket.15:21Now, this is from Melissa Neptune, a15:22brand that everyone is absolutely15:25loving. She does night out spins better15:28than anybody I know. And why I love this15:31jacket is that it feels kind of cash,15:34but done with this great vegan detail. I15:36love this little sleeve on this with15:39that stronger shoulder, fun snaps down15:42the middle here, and that reflective15:44silver makes it feel really, really15:46polished. And it's got this great black15:49and kind of red finish to it which makes15:51it crazy crazy versatile. So beautiful15:54back to burgundy. I also think it would15:56be so rich back to you got it suede. So15:58really fun one to do there. Okay, last16:02but not least here is a big one that16:04we've been hearing about a ton. A lot of16:08you are going back to the office these16:11days and are looking at that closet that16:14potentially has not been updated since16:16the since the co 2020s when we all16:20started staying home. And it is time to16:23refresh that work wardrobe. Well, at16:26every we believe that getting dressed16:28for work should be kind of fun. Like16:31getting dressed for work makes you feel16:33better, right? when you put an outfit16:35together that really has it going on.16:37And we're calling it work unbuttoned16:38because frankly it should feel relaxed.16:41It should feel comfortable, but it16:43should still feel powerful. So, a couple16:45of amazing pieces that we're introducing16:47that I have to have to show you.16:49Starting with what I think is probably16:51the best kept secret in our entire16:54assortment right now, and that is this16:56Nelly shirt. Now, this comes in two16:58colors, white and black. Here's the17:00secret sauce to this one. woven sleeve17:03knit bodies. So for all of those like17:06layering conundrums and you're like,17:09"Oh, the woven and the tucking and the17:11pulling and the bunching and it doesn't17:12look good." Gang, this answers all your17:15prayers because it is fitted through the17:17body. You've got this great detail here.17:20This is what makes this combination17:23work. So, pop it underneath a great17:25little vest. Wear it underneath a17:27jacket. Triple up vest shirt. Grab your17:31suede blazer. Such a great combination.17:35So easy to wear. Get this in both17:37colors. Also super chic on its own. I17:41love this just paired back to a fun17:43little statement jean, suede belt, sling17:45back shoe. You are done and good to go.17:48This is so so easy, gang. It's a must17:51have for every work wardrobe.17:54I'm also looking for just a great17:56trouser. And here's the thing. Sanctuary17:58has nailed it with this fit. It comes in18:01three absolute closet staples. Starting18:05with everybody needs a black. Now, this18:07should feel fluid. It should feel a18:09little bit more relaxed. You don't want18:10it tight. They put elastic in the back18:13which makes it even better. Still sits18:17right at the waist, but is meant to18:19drape. And that's what I love about18:21this. It's got that kind of men's wear18:23inspiration feel to it, but the fit is18:26all woman. So, also comes in this great18:30little pinstripe. And total unexpected18:33home run winner here is in this18:35beautiful cream. This is a pant that you18:38will be surprised how much you wear it.18:40Go monochrome with all cream or break it18:42up with some contrast. I love it. Back18:45to a fabulous little ladylike blazer.18:48How chic and beautiful is that? You of18:51course can always do this with black,18:52but I think even better if pairing it18:55with cream.
