0:00good morning good morning this is going to be a really fun edition of live it is right smack dab in the middle of our0:07denim sale this week it is the perfect time to update that Jean closet you know0:14you need a little refresh why not make it happen now so I'm going to run through some of my absolute favorite0:21trends that we are seeing this season all the way into summer and yes even a0:26little bit into fall and then as always during our sales I'm going to bring out some very special friends who are going0:33to model some of our favorite jeans that are homerun Heroes okay we're going to0:39start with what I'm wearing so did you know that last fall every launched petite denim available only online right0:47now but soon will be coming to a handful of stores this is the perfect solution0:52for those of you who are 54 and under or just have petite legs now one of the0:58things I love about our peti denim assortment is that we are carrying so many Brands including good American now1:07everything you love about good Amer the stretch the fit the Comfort now in a1:13shorter length this is the good americ skate what I love about this is for those of you that are petite that are1:18looking for that wider clean leg but when you try on a regular Jean you're1:24chopping off four five six Ines I've been there I have done it and somehow it1:29just doesn't look quite right the proportions on this are absolutely fabulous this is a great Jean because1:35you can dress it up or make it more casual I'm styling it really simple1:41brand new top from Emerson fry this is such a gorgeous gorgeous top if you're looking for a new night out top I love1:48this you could show a little bit more cleavage if you wanted to open up that little tab just long enough that you1:53don't need to tuck it in but still gives you a great waist and then I'm styling it with that Valerie cow boy style boot2:01absolutely love this shoe because it kind of toes the line between a little bit dressy giving you a little bit of2:08Edge and then yes of course always add a belt okay that is the look that I'm2:14wearing should we dive in to some of my favorite looks and here's the deal gang denim always drives a ton of questions2:22so we are at the ready for all the questions you might have I want to hear what you're thinking I can answer them2:28as I go so don't hesitate to send us those thoughts okay we're going to start with one of my favorite jeans right now2:35and that is because when I think January I think comfy really fun way to update2:41that kind of more comfortable easy on the weekend denim wardrobe is with a2:47cuff now lots of questions about cuffs do I cuff them on my own do they come cuffed in my opinion the easiest way to2:54start out doing a cuff Jean is to buy one that's already pre-cued so two favorites here one from sta one from3:00good American that good American's going to have some great stretch in it little bit more of a tapered leg on this one3:08with about I'm going to give that about a 3 inch cuff here really really washed3:13down and I think actually the destruction on the waistband on this one is so fun to me this just screams3:19weekend run around get it done really easy peasy and that light wash Feels So3:26Fresh okay next option this is from pasta this is a little bit more dramatic3:31and this has been the silhouette I've been leaning into when I've been grabbing a cuff so couple questions about this one I know number one it is a3:38little bit more cropped all the better to show off those fabulous shoes this is also a really great one to style with3:45socks and sneakers yes you can show your socks which right now is very helpful for all of us who are absolutely3:51freezing you'll notice again great light wash on this one this cuff is a little3:56bit more dramatic with that rawam a really fun want to wear now on me 5'44:02short legs this guy really hits just below my ankle for those of you who are4:07blessed with a little bit taller leg you're going to see that this runs a little bit above that ankle and again4:13more of a crop length so shoes with this one I'd wear a great taller booty or I'd4:18wear a sneaker with a sock showing would be so cute okay so we talked cuff let's talk4:25about kind of some more cozy fun options I'm going to start with this fabulous4:31Jean from Paige if you happen to catch my reel last week when I was styling4:37different denim this is one of my absolute favorites I love this guy because it's kind of barrel is I know4:46that for some of you you're still a little hesitant on that Barrel shape and here's how I want to reframe it for you4:51think about this being more of a boyfriend fit what's great about this from page is that seaming in the back4:57which is so flattering it's really help helps to nip in the waist has almost a trouser feel on top and then you can5:05either cuff it and roll it like we did here or you can leave it down now couple5:10things I think are really important about this kind of barrel or barreless shape is length when these get long they5:17get kind of dowy looking so I really suggest making sure you get that height5:22a little bit higher on this one especially with that tapered leg show5:28off that shoe show off that sock this is a great one again to knock around on the weekend or if you want to dress it up a5:35really fun one to pair with a little bit more of a heel tuck in your top add a belt you're good to5:42go you guys are quiet today usually so many questions when we're running through denim okay another really fun5:50look that I'm loving very similar to what I'm wearing now is that wide leg and how do you update that wide leg5:56silhouette we've been talking about it for a while now it really is starting to feel like a staple in the closet but6:02there's lots of fun ways to refresh it starting with this great Jean from cut now we had this last year sold out in a6:09hot flash so you catch that uhhuh oh yeah that's happening okay so we've got6:14this great Jean here what I love love love about it is this really fun slit so6:20gives you some great movement also a really nice one believe it or not for those of you who have a little bit shorter legs that little peak of foot6:28here really helps to align at the leg it's from Cut you know it's going to be so comfy cozy I went down a size in this6:36one as I typically do in Cut only in jeans in shorts I always wear my normal6:41size but in Cut denim I go down a size so really fun one here and then if you're looking for just a great clean I6:49consider this one the perfect wear to work Jean is from ever gang this is such6:56a fabulous Jean I love love this because it feels almost like a trouser it's so finished7:04so polished and in that great medium blue it doesn't feel too casual feels a little bit more elevated the easiest7:10combination we can do here take this great Jean pop on a really fabulous7:16underpinning so I'm thinking like a great blouse like the one I'm wearing or something with a little bit of print or even a knit add your jacket add your7:24boot don't forget the belt perfect 9 to5 Monday through Friday work hours kind of7:31look this is probably my favorite Jean on the rack because it looks so good on everyone absolute home run good7:38amze you know here's the thing I find about good American is that there's so much stretch In Those Jeans so here like7:47I put these on and I was laughing I was like I don't know if this would be the size that I would normally wear but I've7:52been wearing them for I don't know 15 minutes or so because yes I was running late this morning sorry about that and7:58they are now stretched and comfy so I think that you can absolutely wear your8:04normal size good American I really really rarely if ever go up so because8:10they do have that stretch they have a lot of give and they do kind of relax as you wear them right your body heats up8:17the gene heats up makes it easier to wear these I actually did go down a8:25size I think still I would buy my normal size in the yeah yeah if I had a choice8:31as we said these are maybe more standing jeans in this size and they are sitting jeans and and I do like to sit in my Den8:37so I would probably buy your normal size in this one also the length is so perfect G look at that hoay for petites8:43so fun okay couple other Silhouettes I wanted to call out especially for my8:49tall gals so here's the deal as much as we talk about petite being a challenge on the other end of the spectrum we've8:55got so many long-legged Beauties who shop with us and are just stumped to find a great Jean or if you are a heel9:03wearer of any kind that fulllength Jee is so flattering so a couple of really fantastic options starting with the Aya9:11so this is a really fun Jean from Citizens of Humanity now when we talked earlier about that cuff this is one that9:18you can cuff on your own or wear it full length you can see the length on this guy is long I mean I would absolutely9:26swim in this one from a length perspective but it's really really great if you want to cuff and roll it or if9:32you a little bit longer legged now this is definitely more of a relaxed fit a really fun one to wear again if you're9:39looking for more of that kind of weekend runaround or if you want more of that statement Jean the AA absolutely does9:46that to make it feel a little bit more turned up a little bit more elevated Night Out wear something fitted on top9:53it's a really nice balance that more relaxed silhouette feels fresh and also9:59a little bit of skin so you could also do this with like say a great blouse tuck it in open up the neckline push up10:05the sleeves you're good to go this is a question yes are when and doubt at a belt I mean gang10:13I am kind of loving belts just about anything Here's my thought I love a belt for a couple reasons including like10:20today I think it really accentuates the waist and gives you some fabulous shape it also feels like more of a Finishing10:25Touch where I sometimes don't like a belt is if I have a lot going on10:31otherwise so if I'm wearing say like a little bit more of like a neck mess and then I feel like the necklaces are10:37fighting in the belt or if it's a really really casual kind of runaround look10:43sometimes I feel like the belt can be too much or if I'm too layered but for the most part I find almost every10:49morning now I'm reaching for a belt so let's talk about that really quick what belts do you need you need a great black10:57belt you need a great Brown belt I think for both of those I like something a little bit thinner with some really11:03fabulous Hardware on it so this is our mantana belt I absolutely love this because it's a little bit more polished11:10comes in brown and black really really great belt another belt you need is what I like to call the Jean belt so11:16something a little bit thicker a little bit more casual that just looks good when you're kind of knocking around and11:22last but not least I think you need something fun so whether that's a belt with Great Western detail a belt with11:28some studs on it something that really adds some kind of interest and Novelty to your look those four are my absolute11:35favorite and kind of the your jean belt your like more fancy belt that can be11:40either brown or black kind of depending on more what you wear from a footwear perspective and yes you can mix brown11:48and black that's always a question I hear can you wear a brown belt with a black shoe a black Sho black belt with a11:53brown shoe yes you absolutely can oh gosh it's so pretty right okay so12:00forgive me when I put on my bra this morning I was like oh it's cold I would never wear anything low cut and then lo12:06and behold here we are so here's what's so pretty about this game I'll put my ha back so you can see is this not just12:12absolutely gorgeous this open work detailing here check out the sleeve how beautiful this is the detail on this is12:19just Divine and then you actually have two ties here this one actually is12:24Little Hook and eye so you can open that up and make it a little bit lower it's stunning right right it's just I mean12:31it's absolutely gorgeous and if you're looking for something again to kind of date night maybe you've got plans for12:36Valentine's Day I feel like this would be such a fun blouse to wear and it's such a rich deep deep Navy almost looks12:44black so pretty okay all right let's run for a couple more and then I'm going to12:49bring the gals out okay speaking of night out everybody needs one of these12:55in your closet and I call this the superhero Mama Jean it is a little bit more fitted13:02it is elongating and it is meant to be worn with the heel there is no one that13:07does this better than Paige cut for a woman's figure she is a masterful expert13:15on finding the perfect way to flatter everybody's body and booty I love this13:22Jean because of all the stretch this is the Laurel Canyon it is absolutely hands down one of their bestselling jeans for13:28years and years and years this is a longer length on this one for sure so13:33stunning rock this guy with it's a little bit of a flare this to me you13:39slip the sky on and it just feels stunning and sexy it's an absolute13:46must and then we're going to run through just one more let's talk about white denim guys so here's what's happening13:54with white denim we've been fighting this for years right the seethrough the13:59heght the like bunching the folding in the back with white denim and you just don't feel great in it what's so fun14:05about white denim this season it's relaxing so none of that fuss and mus you get to wear a fabulous more relaxed14:13silhouette but in your favorite white denim so a couple options here starting with cut this is the Meg so it's an14:20absolute hands down favorite the Jean you know in love and what I love about this one is you can even see from just14:27me having it on the hanger it is is definitely softer softer softer almost14:32like a Chino gang so a really fantastic and then a great Jean from Paige this14:38has some wonderful detail in it this is the Anessa again another style you know14:44and love so if you are finding that you're a Meg gal or an Anessa gal and you want a white go for it you know this14:51Jean is going to fit what's our tip though even in a more relaxed fit in white go up a14:57size okay okay okay it's time we're going to bring out some peeps here we go15:03we're going to get the rack out of here our first guest today this kind of feels like the price is rer than me doesn't it15:09come on down Sarah here we go this is going to be funny because I am wearing heels and my good friend Sarah here is15:15still like almost a foot taller than me in Flats in Flats it's humbling but we're here for15:22it okay so here's the facts about Sarah Sarah is one of our most seasoned everie15:28team members you've been with us for 18 years 18 years isn't that insane and yes15:34this woman does have a child in college and a child in high school which you would never ever know so beautiful and15:41now Sarah's working on our transend team which is so fabulous if you not have not had a chance to order something from15:47Tron it's a really easy way to get dressed in a Flash we do all the styling15:54for you gets delivered to your house keep what you love send back what you don't or walk into a store and exchange16:00it so easy that's one of my favorite things about for everyone that's busy it's just perfect yes and you are busy16:06we are all busy we are all busy we all need this we all need this okay so we want to have Sarah come on because as16:11you can see Sarah is tall so can you talk a little bit about just the challenges of finding denim when you16:17were yeah such a statu beauty yeah it is heard mostly in the length so there's lots of options always out there but16:24even when you wear a crop Jean it's about not hitting me too short on the leg I look really chopped off y y um and16:31then when it's a full length Jean sometimes it's not long enough those are the two main challenges and then you can16:36figure out shoes yes like if you find the perfect length and you're like okay well now what shoe can I wear with okay16:42so these are amazing on you I want you to talk a little bit about them you have to tell me what you told me about these16:47I will um these are the good American good waste pazo um fun fact I have a lot16:53of denim in my wardrobe from working at everyy for all these years I don't have a pair of good American but I love love16:59these um I'm in my true size an eight um and with my longer17:04torso I bet if you weren't didn't have as long a torso as I you could actually size down in these but I'm in my true17:11size here so they are stretchy I really like them a lot they're so fabulous on17:16thank you I love that and this like kind of medium wash blue is so pretty it's like an easy one to kind of bridge the17:21seasons totally okay so I have to tell you I just we have to talk about this for just a hot second because when we17:28got this vest I was like I don't know how I'm going to style that but I really am into it yeah I do too I like this a lot feels put together and a little bit17:35lay I'm warm actually even though it's Z degrees out so zero literally zero it17:41feels good and you're wearing a belt I am wearing a belt like you said when out at a belt and I love this belt too I17:48think this is I have this guy and I find that it's like a really good kind of ineter yeah the good the color goes with17:54any any Footwear really and with black and I think this is a good example too of like pairing a belt with a look and17:59having it feel more finished like a year ago we wouldn't have added a belt true but here I love that we're picking up a18:04little bit of the hardware from your necklaces and the vest and then this beautiful flat shoe it's like such a fun18:10little finish 51018:165'11 she is depends on the day and your kids are so tall they are18:22very tall yeah and her husband's tall too I mean it shouldn't have been a surprise EXA yes yes so fous well thank18:28you okay all right now we're going to bring out Jamie Jamie's more my height I know18:34yep and yeah Jamie is also our like amazing amazing senior producer on our18:42team if you ever wonder how we all show up here and get it done it's because of18:47Jamie oh thank you yes well it's true it's true it's true thank the Lord for Jamie okay Jame talk to me a little bit18:54about the Jean you're wearing and kind of when you are looking for denim what gets you kind of stuffed like what's19:00hard I am 5'4 like if I'm rounding up a teeny bit um but yes definitely have a19:07longer torso petite legs so even though I'm like at 54 I definitely feel like19:12I'm more in that petite realm um for me I just I don't mind having to hem my19:19jeans or cuff them but it is really nice when you just find that perfect pair that hits you at the perfect length19:24which is the every barrel the Vintage Barrel which behind Heidi you will see19:30comes in like every color scheme that you want uh this is like like literally this whole table behind us yes um I19:37actually just bought um a pair last week and these might come home with me too even though I walked in this morning19:42going do I need any denim yeah well I already have two that are going to come home with me um but yeah it hits me at19:48just the right length that I can do a boot I had a flat on with it earlier just so comfortable I love the waist I19:56mean yeah just it's like my go-to this has been like my hands down favorite what I love about the way you're wearing20:01it now is like you could go grab drinks with girlfriends a mocktail if you're doing dry January so good for all of you20:08that are doing that I've been traveling a lot so that's not happening um like I love this little top because it feels a20:14little more elevated but you could easily pair this back to a sweatshirt and a fun sneaker show your sock and20:21it'd be fun knock around right and I think that destruction it's like kind of feels fresh I mean I haven't bought a20:26pair of destructive jeans in a really long time no I love it I feel like it just gives the look like a little bit of like that edge that you want yeah so fun20:33so so fun yeah okay all right okay so we have a surprise coming up in just a20:40moment but in the interim I know that there are some questions we've already gotten in right we asked everyone20:45yesterday if you had any questions so I wanted to answer a few if I could until our surprise makes the turn Okay first20:52question so you want to know is dark okay for spring and if so what shoes20:57should okay I feel like that's like a leading question because of what's Happening next but yes here's what's21:03been so fun is that super super dark rinse denim is absolutely coming back21:11and I will tell you that it is one of the jeans that has kind of surprised me21:17this season and will be a continuation in my closet going into summer what's so21:23great about dark denim like that really dark denim is that you can dress it up or make it cas ual but it feels like21:29it's really making a statement so what shoes to wear with it honestly you can21:35wear any color you can wear a black shoe yes you can wear black with that really21:40dark rinse which I think sometimes people get a little stumped on or you can wear something a little bit lighter in a brown I've also worn it with just21:47like a pair of my like birken stocks and some socks for really casual so any one21:53of those options absolutely works but dark denim feels like a fun fresh wash I21:59am betting that you do not have in your closet right now such a good question um22:04and then where are some good jeans for athletic oh well I hear you so those of22:10us that are blessed with strong legs and a strong booty you need something with stretch so my go-to almost every time22:17when I'm trying to fit a more athletic build is good americ I absolutely love the stretch I also think the pocket22:24placement on good Amer is absolutely fabulous so really gives you some some good shape now if good American isn't22:32working for me and I know for some of you when you have a really athletic shape that means you're cut a little bit22:37more straight good American definitely does come in at the waist and if that's feeling too pinched then my other22:43absolute hands down goto is cut from the cloth same principles there lots and lots of stretch really more generous leg22:52which I love even in their Slimmer Silhouettes and not as fitted of a waist which is really really easy to wear and22:59there's such a spectrum of Silhouettes and cut you're sure to find one you love um and then where's the ideal spot23:06for your jeans to hit well isn't that a tricky question23:12this season because here's the deal we we are seeing cup we are seeing full23:17length and we are even seeing things that are like almost puddling on the floor so I would say in gradiation of23:24what's tricky I think that puddle is kind of tricky especially this time of year when there's snow on the ground so I'm23:31going to let you kind of ease in let's talk about full length and let's talk about CFT so I think when you get into23:37that in between full length and crop is where things get strange so when you're looking for a crop Jee it should always23:44hit above the ankle when you're looking for a full length Jee I like something that comes to at least to the top of23:51your shoe so this is a really good example gang if this was just a little bit shorter it suddenly is like in23:58between it's neither cropped nor full length and it just is going to feel like it's cutting me off so that full length24:05is great because it really does elongate the leg and that crop should be just above the ankle I think Sarah made such24:11a good point when you are long leged and Tall that crop can get really short and24:18look really funky so you want to make sure too that it's not coming too high above the ankle so maybe an inch inch24:25and a half and anything above that's going to start to really chop off your leg and look a little24:31funky and then last but not least these are such good questions you guys such good questions what tops do you24:37recommend to wear with Barrel jeans so here's how I eased into the barrel I saw24:44someone wear it and I was like I could totally wear those the way you get like sucked in right on Instagram and I was24:50like yeah every didn't have them yet and I was like I kind of want to try it and I'm looking for a new black Jean and I24:55got them home ordered them got them you know delivered to my house tried them on and I was like oh well this doesn't look25:03like the cute girl that tried them on so I had to go through a series of experiments to figure out what the best25:08silhouette was and here's what I think when you were starting out wearing a barrel or a barreless jean something25:15more fitted on top is the best way to go so like that top that Jamie was wearing25:21was so fabulous I love something like that just a little bit more shape to it I think what Sarah was wearing would25:26also work because she's got more more fitted tea that she's tucking in and showing her waist where I think it gets25:32tricky would be like this blouse I would not wear this with a barrel Jean it's like too fluid too fluid you need25:39something that gives you shape and the best part about the barrel that I think is really fresh relative to that kind of25:45boyfriend Jee that we all used to have is that more nipped in Waist that's what makes the barrel so much more flattering25:53last tip wear something that shows a little bit of skin so if you're wearing say a button down and you're tucking it25:59in open up that neckline roll up that sleeve show a little bit more skin and it helps to balance out that more26:05relaxed silhouette guys such good questions keep them coming we want to hear them okay26:12this is so fun okay we're gonna bring out Mickey who is wearing the best gang26:18this woman is just a ray of sunshine I just adore her so she is26:24newer to every every email you get in your inbox from everie is done by this magician and26:32I call her a magician because this is what Mickey's life looks like almost every day hey yeah I know you just sent26:38me that test s and you thought everything was done but can we just make like three more changes before you send it out and then two more changes so26:45she's pretending that she likes me but really I'm her worst nightmare but I still do love you and I appreciate how26:51flexible you are always always and look at how amazing she looks in these jeans so you guys you like let us do this dark26:59denim lots of stretch so this is from Cut here is a fabulous cut cuffed denim27:07do you want to talk about it how do you feel in these what do you think I feel good um feels good it's difficult to27:14find denim um because I consider myself more like rectangular shape y um thick27:21uh thick elicious so I am adopting that one done and done27:28so it's important for me to have like a good booty Jean and a good booty Jean is defined by good stretch because I don't27:34have an obvious waistline so I like this because it stretches around it gives me that good booty it gives me more of a27:41waistline and I do like the dark denum actually it makes the colors pop yes27:46totally and like I love how you've taken this look a little bit more casual to me this is like your new weekend uniform27:53gang so Mickey took a great sweatshirt layered a tea underneath I think that is also a secret to kind of elevating that27:59weekend look little pop notice she pushed up the sleeves so we're showing a little bit of skin and then she's28:05trading in her sneaker for this fun bellet flat and then little stack necklace right just one step more put28:12together but you still could run around and do all the things yes yes and because I have the layers I don't necessarily need the belt right you this28:19is a case where you don't need the belt yes yes cuz you you look so put together and fabulous thank you okay this is how28:25much we love this jean gang we're going to bring out Jamie and and Sarah so you can see all of these women in what I28:33call The Sisterhood of the Traveling Jee this is a fabulous I'm gonna go come on28:38in this I am less important in this situation this is such a fabulous gene28:45on everyone so the question about what length should like an ankle length Gene be Sarah made her own ankle length Jee28:51here because of her long legs and it's hitting just above her ankle which I absolutely love Mickey styling this more28:57casually and here's a perfect example that might have been a little precursor of how Jamie is dressing this Jean up29:03this is like perfect for a little knock around and I love this you took that more casual look and you turned it up a29:08little bit just by changing to that dark denim so fun stretch fits all the body29:14types if you're G to get one jean make it this one it's such a good one and it's cut so you know it's an incredible29:20price right and it's on sale because it's a denom sale okay this is the time to stock29:26up comment to every hop online we are ready to style you if this is the one29:32thing in your closet that you absolutely dread
