taking 0:21 that black in your closet and refreshing 0:25 it with what i like to call 0:27 the new black 0:28 navy so many shades of fabulous blues 0:32 that can be infused into your closet 0:34 they look just as cool dressed up as 0:37 they do dress down a little bit lighter 0:40 in the palette so easy to wear fabulous 0:43 with denim 0:44 you cannot go wrong so i'm going to talk 0:47 about all the blues you need 0:49 and some rule 0:51 breakers that i want everyone to abandon 0:54 from that list because yes you can do a 0:58 couple of things you were told at one 1:00 point you can't 1:02 okay so starting with this look first 1:05 rule breaker yes you can mix shades of 1:08 white and cream with blue it doesn't 1:12 need to go pure nautical when we're 1:14 talking navy and that's one of the 1:16 things i love about blue that makes it 1:17 feel really fresh i've got on this 1:20 amazing fara pant 1:22 this is from z supply so you know the 1:25 comfort factor is through the roof on 1:27 this guy it is a higher rise but thank 1:30 you thank you z supply elastic waistband 1:33 so uber uber comfortable 1:36 featuring that fun wide leg that we've 1:39 all been loving this season now it has 1:42 to be said 1:43 i am 5'4 but i'm going to remind all of 1:46 you that i've got the legs of a five 1:48 foot one gap 1:50 short short legs so these on me i love 1:53 them i think they're really fun it's 1:55 kind of taking the idea of a maxi dress 1:58 and putting it into a pant they feel 1:59 like a jogger they are hitting me below 2:03 my ankle now if i wanted to have a 2:05 little bit more of a summer vibe i would 2:07 probably shorten these to just above my 2:10 ankle so on you 2:12 longer legged gals and i know that most 2:14 of you out there are 2:16 it's going to hit you probably above 2:17 your ankle bone really chic really 2:19 pretty you can wear it with a wedge you 2:21 can wear it with a flat you can dress 2:22 them up with a heel now 2:24 how am i pairing it well i took this fun 2:27 chaser tank that's in this great marine 2:29 blue and white and paired it back mixing 2:34 my neutrals little pop of blue i've got 2:37 this great little espadrille wedge on 2:39 and i am set to me this is 2:42 casual easy breezy i want to feel put 2:44 together want to feel a little bit more 2:46 elevated and done okay 2:50 how to take these pants though and turn 2:52 up the volume a little bit more 2:54 this is where your statement top comes 2:56 in now i'm thinking this is for 2:58 fun brunches maybe you've got some 3:01 showers graduations coming up and the 3:04 dress code is that obscure 3:08 casual chic backyard dressed up i don't 3:12 know what to wear kind of 3:15 outfit 3:16 gotcha okay so we're going to start with 3:18 really fun top so take these great pants 3:20 and then pair it back to this beautiful 3:22 new blouse now here's a great example of 3:25 something that would typically be 3:26 grounded in a black instead it's 3:28 grounded in this gorgeous midnight navy 3:31 this is from sanctuary 3:33 we talked about this a couple weeks ago 3:35 this gorgeous square neckline so 3:38 flattering so pretty i'm actually going 3:39 to pop this guy on just so we can talk 3:41 about the neckline on this one you can 3:43 also see 3:45 the rise on these now this pan does have 3:47 a belt loop we've been talking a little 3:48 bit about belts too lately and how they 3:50 can really finish a look one of the 3:52 things i think is really fun about a 3:54 wide leg pant 3:57 is 3:58 especially when it's got a higher waist 4:00 is that you can really nip in that waist 4:02 and accentuate it with a belt this is 4:04 that little free people cammy love this 4:06 guy for a simple little layer okay so 4:09 we've got this great little sanctuary 4:10 top grounded in navy it's got shades of 4:14 light blue 4:15 a little bit of pink here and a little 4:17 bit of kind of a creamy white 4:20 i see a strap 4:21 behind me 4:23 more fluid sleeve and then you can see 4:26 right the bottom is just open now 4:29 yes you could do this right it's flowy 4:32 it's easy it's super relaxed fun but 4:36 i am going to take advantage of these 4:38 amazing pants 4:39 and the fact they just give me a 4:41 fantastic waist 4:43 even on the days when maybe 4:45 my waist is 4:46 not as cooperative as i'd like it to be 4:49 and do a little tuck there you go now 4:51 i've got a little bit more shape and you 4:53 can also see i think when you do that 4:55 full tuck 4:56 it really helps to elevate the look and 4:58 dresses it up just a little bit more now 5:01 especially yeah you could absolutely do 5:03 these you can also pop on like that 5:05 great shoots heel 5:07 neutral elevates it even more or for you 5:11 longer legged ladies you can pop on just 5:13 a flat slide put that guy on and it 5:15 feels a little bit more casual easy 5:17 breezy let's talk about that square 5:19 neckline 5:20 flattering and easy one of the things i 5:22 love about this neckline is it is bra 5:24 friendly 5:25 but still really opens up the neck so 5:28 elongates your neck 5:30 opens up your chest if you are more full 5:32 figured it doesn't 5:34 make you feel top heavy if you are more 5:36 petite it balances you out a really 5:39 really easy one to wear kind of the 5:41 sister to this under our own label is 5:44 this beautiful paisley version so you 5:46 can see this guy i would say of the two 5:49 what are the differences a little bit 5:51 i'd say of a sweeter more delicate print 5:54 this to me reads a little bit more 5:57 bohemian so this is from ronan ryan it's 6:00 more of a paisley print versus this 6:01 which i think is more of an abstract 6:03 floral this is definitely grounded 6:06 in that deep rich navy but has great 6:09 hits of cream and taupe and pink so if 6:12 you like a little bit i'd say more
