Show Transcript00:03[Music]00:08[Applause]00:09today my friends we're going to talk00:11about denim now a couple weeks ago you00:13and i met here and we talked denim a00:15little bit then and in those last couple00:17weeks we have gotten in a fantastic00:20variety of even more denim i'm going to00:22start with this pair of denim that i'm00:24wearing from ammo00:25if that's a new brand for you it's00:27spelled amo00:29all caps we are loving this one the one00:32that i have on right now is called the00:33frida00:35she is a high rise00:37she has a wide leg i'm just going to00:38show you from the side here a little bit00:40so she's got that wide leg but it goes00:42straight down the shape and then there00:44is some distressing right here on the00:46bottom which keeps it very current and00:49then i'm wearing it with some slides00:51we'll talk about the um00:52the shoes in a little bit but i just00:54wanted to show you at 5 9 where it hits00:57me i'm wearing these are probably about00:58three inches uh three and a half inches01:00tall um but even if i were to wear them01:04like with a flat they would still just01:05skim the floor um at five nine so those01:08petite gals um you can still wear these01:11you would just um cut them and then the01:13distressing will naturally happen as you01:15wash them but you're still going to have01:17that same shape even if you need to trim01:18them up a little there's some01:19distressing on the pockets if you can01:21see right here which i love that little01:22detail um they are and01:25i would say an ecru color not a bright01:28white a lot of times i think sometimes01:29people think that bright white is just01:31for summer so this little ecru color is01:33great for spring you can wear it all01:35summer long but i think it's like you01:37can just kind of step your toe into01:39those new01:40newer season colors so this echo color01:43is a great way to transition all right01:46i paired it with this nation top we've01:48talked to about nation tops and how much01:49i love them01:51the again why do i love them the shape01:53it always gives you a little bit of01:55shape it has these tiny tiny little like01:57forms in the shoulder it's not like a01:59big shoulder pad per se and i'm a pretty02:02broad shoulder person it just kind of02:04accentuates it's a little bit so it02:05keeps that shape of the little puff02:07sleeve on the shoulder um and then it02:10has just a little um binding here at the02:12wrist and you know me i always kind of02:14like to just pucker it up a little bit02:15to create a little more shape02:17and the fabrication it looks such like02:20such an elevated blouse but the fabric02:22is so soft it's almost like a t-shirt02:25fabric so it's very comfortable um but02:28again you look really elevated and then02:30the shoes let's talk about the shoes02:31again because you know i always love the02:32shoes these are um from dolce vita um02:36they are kind of i know we've talked to02:38about kind of almost like this coffee02:40um color or kind of like this mocha02:43color um it has some really fun i'm just02:45gonna take them off and show you a02:46little closer add some little gold um02:48grommets on the side which is just a fun02:50detail and then the02:52the heel is this nice thick wood block02:55heel02:56just with beautiful wood tones in it02:58which i just love and again with that03:00wider block03:02it keeps you stable and the pitch on03:04that isn't very high so you still get a03:05little bit of the height but your foot03:07isn't at such an elevation where you're03:09feeling a little bit tippy look number03:11two for the denim are you ready03:13shorts03:14don't be scared don't be scared you03:16might be going on vacation you might be03:18getting ready for spring03:20get out those cute sun tanned legs or03:23just that self tanner pan them up and03:25get those shorts on girls because03:27we can confidently wear these these are03:29my favorite shorts i get them03:32every year i get a new pair i'm going to03:33be honest with you the last three years03:35i just keep adding to my collection03:36because i love them so much sometimes03:38they change the color a bit sometimes03:39they change the length of it these are03:41eagle leaves these are the parker longs03:45now at my age i like a longer denim03:49jean shorts they just cover a little03:51more i feel a little more confident in03:53them they're also a high rise so as we03:55always say they keep everything in03:57distressing on the bottom distressing on03:59the top it kind of has that really fun04:01summer look but it doesn't feel like a04:04daisy duke right um so again love loving04:07these shorts i paired this one with just04:09this little basic michael stars um04:12v-neck tank comes in numerous colors and04:15keep them all in your closet because04:16they're great good grab-and-go as you04:18head out and they are great layering04:19pieces and i layered it underneath this04:22darling harriet isles04:25haley paisley wrap um why do i love this04:29wrap first of all look at the coloring04:31it's kind of almost like a really deep04:34green brown and then it has of course04:36some like little white paisleys in there04:38along with that little mocha color that04:40we talked about so be even cute with04:42those little fun shoes that i showed you04:43before and then just a titch of a really04:46dark teal in there so such warm fun04:48colors for spring we're heading into04:50summer04:51i also love this because04:54again sometimes you're traveling or04:55seasons change it's too warm for a jean04:57jacket so you need still something04:59that's going to give you a little bit of05:01coverage and honestly give some05:02dimension to your outfit so it's not05:04just a tank top and shorts this is easy05:06breezy look at this this is genius05:09there's a little bit of a gathering here05:12so a lot of times when those wraps once05:14you put your arms through it's a big05:16armhole and they kind of fall off of you05:18this one i love because it does have a05:20little bit of that banding and then i05:22just push it up a little bit and it05:23creates a little more of a shape for you05:25and it stays on which i love it stays on05:28okay ah this whole thing i paired with05:30these darling birkenstocks you can't go05:33wrong with these birkenstocks a05:35beautiful brown i would say like a05:37little caramel color with a little go05:39detailing here it's got a little bit of05:41that ecru color05:43that i shared with you in the jeans05:45right across the bottom and again so05:47comfortable great for vacation great for05:49walking all day long and just a great05:52go-to for summer05:53another thing i wanted to share with you05:55is if you are not quite ready to dip05:57your toe into the shorts yet those ammo06:00jeans that i showed you you can keep06:01this complete outfit on and just put the06:04ammo jeans that i shared with you before06:06all together you can do neutral on06:09neutral which gives you a really clean06:10look you know i like that one and done06:12and then um like i had shared before um06:15you can wear these jeans just with a06:16flat slide on um so that's a fun way to06:19just keep the outfit especially like forMore Like This
